FORENSICS AND LEGAL REPRESENTATION
In the event that you discover damage to your building that is the result of poor design, workmanship, or improper materials, we can provide forensic services to determine the root cause of the problem and help to represent you in any potential litigation.
COMPLETE BUILDING CONDITION ASSESSMENT
We can investigate your structure, review the existing conditions, and provide an in depth assessment of the roofing, walls, and waterproofing areas to help determine any current problems and potential solutions.
INSPECTIONS & Testing
We can provide inspections and observations of your project during the construction phase and/or final inspections to ensure compliance with the plans and specs. Our motto is “Inspecting what you’re Expecting” to make sure that you are obtaining the items paid for and to eliminate possible future issues.
Testing: Fortress BEC provides numerous types of testing for the building envelope arena. These include AAMA window testing, AAMA wand testing, low voltage and high voltage roof and waterproofing testing, Tramex capacitance testing, and infrared thermal surveys of the roof, walls, and other components.
PROJECT DESIGN WITH SPECIFICATIONS AND PLAN DEVELOPMENT
If your project required major renovations and/or replacement, we can review the current conditions and develop complete plans and specs for repairs and replacement projects for the full building envelope area. This usually includes project oversight where we can help with the bidding process, vetting of the contractors, review of the bids, and complete project help from start to finish.
DESIGN PEER REVIEWS (DPR)
If you are an architect, owner, or contractor, we will review the plans and specs to help bolster the building envelope details, materials, and specifications. This also includes the important aspect of how the components tie-in to adjacent areas which is one of the most common problems we see in new construction. Our firm can provide the full review or we can work with you on just one facet of the design if necessary.
